Roberte Ponsonby, Countess of Bessborough

Roberte Ponsonby, Countess of Bessborough (d. 1979), was born Roberte de Neuflize, the daughter of Baron Jean de Neuflize of Paris. On 25 June 1912, she married Vere Ponsonby, Viscount Duncannon and held the courtesy title of Viscountess Duncannon. On 1 December 1920, the Viscount's father died and inherited the title of Earl of Bessborough, whereupon Roberte then became known as the Countess of Bessborough.
