Robert Yeoman

Robert David Yeoman, A.S.C.

Robert Yeoman was born on 10 March 1951 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His first filmwork was done as a second unit gaffer for the 1982 film Chasing Dreams, directed by Therese Conte and Sean Roche. Shortly after, he landed his first job as Cinematographer for Alexandre Rockwell's production, Hero (1983). Moving on as a Director of Photography, Robert filmed a series of television series as well as motion-pictures. In 1995, he met then up-and-coming director Wes Anderson, and has since worked on every Anderson film, including Bottle Rocket (1996), Rushmore (1998) and The Royal Tenenbaums (2001), which was partially based on members of Yeoman's brother-in-law Walter Karnas' family.
