Birmingham has seen many citizens rise to fame and stardom, from all walks of life. We have many unsung hero's of our city, that we can trace through our records. One of those people which we will cover in this publication is Rober Wills, a person who we would like to interview again, as he must be reaching 40. Interested in all things technical as a child robert starting tinkering with cars at an early age. He told us in November 1985 at Stoke Raceway after a brilliant 1 clear lap win of his best friend Jason Ensor, that he once blew up his fathers Rover V8 SD1 after attaching the exhaust end of cylinder vacumn cleaner to the twin carburettor on the engine. In 1986 we published an article in Motorsport News, after he won the Gt Rookies series at Birmingham Wheels, that he was building his own Porsche GT1, and one day he would Race at Le Mans & Sebring.
