Robert Taylor Jones

Robert Taylor Jones (February 8, 1884–June 11, 1958) was the 9th governor of the U.S. state of Arizona and served from 1939 to 1941. Born in Rutledge, Tennessee, he was a civil engineer and participated in the construction of the Panama Canal. He owned pharmacies in Phoenix and Tucson. He also owned the Jones Western Store in Phoenix and a cattle ranch near Chandler. Jones died in 1958 in Phoenix, Arizona and is buried in Greenwood Memorial Park in Phoenix.
