Robert Lorge

Robert Lorge was the 2006 Republican nominee for the Wisconsin seat in the US Senate. He unsuccessfully challenged Democrat Herb Kohl.
Lorge was born in New London, Wisconsin. He spent several years studying abroad at European institutions, before returning to complete his degrees at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and Marquette University. Lorge has both a Juris Doctor and a zoology degree.
Lorge has worked in a variety of fields. He has been a legislative assistant, attorney, real estate broker, business executive, and mediator. He has no prior political experience. He was considered a long-shot candidate and his candidacy received very little support from either the national or state Republican Party.
