Robert Kazinsky (born 18 November 1983) is a English actor.
Kazinsky was born Robert Appleby in Haywards Heath, West Sussex to Phyllis and Paul Appleby. He was educated at Hove Park School in Brighton from 1995-2000. He appeared in their production of "Bugsy Malone" as Leroy the boxer in 1997 and in 1998 as Puck in "A Midsummer Night's Dream". He achieved a Grade B in his Drama GCSE in 2000. He took his grandfather's middle name as his stage name. He has an older brother, Michael and grew up in the village of Cuckfield. Kazinsky is Jewish of Russian and Polish origin; he has appeared in Israeli television commercials and can speak Hebrew language. [1] [2]
Kazinsky trained as an actor at the Guildford School of Acting from September 2002 to July 2005. Whilst training, he did a lot of theatre work, appearing in many Shakespeare plays. He had a guest role in The Basil Brush Show, playing a character named Sven Garley. Almost as soon as he finished he got a role in Sky One's football drama Dream Team. He played Casper Rose from 2005 until 2006, when he was killed off towards the end of the ninth series after Kazinsky announced his intention to leave.
It was announced on 18 May 2006 that he would be playing Sean Slater in EastEnders, and he made his first appearance on 22 August 2006.
