Robert Gerringer

Robert Gerringer (May 12, 1926-November 8, 1989) was an American character actor perhaps best known as Dr. Dave Woodard #2 on the soap opera cum cult TV series Dark Shadows, a role he played during 1967. Gerringer left the show because he refused to cross the picket line during an actor's strike; he was replaced by Peter Turgeon.
Robert Gerringer also appeared in the movie The Exorcist and in other soap operas including The Guiding Light and The Edge of Night. He died from a stroke at age 64. This article about an American television actor born in the 1920s is a stub. You can help Wikipedia by expanding it.
