Fritsche was born in Austin, Texas, and is 42 years old. He has stated he is Lutheran. Fritsche received a BA from University of Texas in 1995. Fritsche served in the Texas Army National Guard from 1980-1992. He is currently a Claims Adjuster for Progressive Insurance Company. Previous to running for Congress in 2004 he had no political experience.
