Robert Dundas of Arniston

Robert Dundas of Arniston (1758 – 1819) was a Scottish judge.
The son of Robert Dundas he served as Solicitor General for Scotland in 1784 and as Lord Advocate from 1789 to 1801.
He was Member of Parliament for Edinburghshire from 1790 to 1796, and was Chief Baron of the Exchequer in Scotland from 1801 until his death.
Part of a remarkable Scottish legal and political dynasty, his great-grandfather Robert Dundas had been an MP and judge, as were his grandfather Robert Dundas (1713-1787) and father Robert Dundas.
