Robert C. Broomfield

Judge Robert C. Broomfield (born 1933) is a judge for the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. President Ronald Reagan nominated Broomfield on May 15, 1985 and was confirmed by the Senate on July 10, 1985. Broomfield served as chief judge from 1994-1999 and assumed senior status in August of 1999. Chief Justice William Rehnquist appoint judge Broomfield to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court in May 2002.
Judge Broomfield earned a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University in 1955, and a LL.B. from Arizona State in 1961.
From 1955-1958, Judge Broomfield was a United States Air Force Lieutenant, and a Air Force Reserve Captain from 1961-1972.
