Robert Andrew Burns

Sir Robert Andrew Burns was born on 21 July 1943

Sir Robert was educated in Highgate School, Highgate, Middlesex, England. He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge with a Master of Arts (M.A.) He was with the Diplomatic Service between 1965 and 2003 He was invested Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1992. He held the office of Ambassador to Israel between 1992 and 1995. He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.) in 1997. He was invested as a Knight(K.C.M.G.) in 1997. He held the office of Consul-General to Hong Kong and Macau between 1997 and 2000 also held the office of the British High Commissioner to Canada between 2000 and 2003.
