Robert 'Dolly' Dunn

Robert Dunn, whose nickname is Dolly, is widely considered to be Australia's worst ever paedophile.
He began his career as a school teacher, working for Marist Brothers.
He is currently serving a 20 year jail sentence (with a non parole period of 18 years) that began in 2001, for 24 sexual offences that occurred between 1985 and 1995. He is believed to be at high risk of retaliation from other prisoners, and so he is isolated from the main prison population. He works in the prison laundry.
In 1996 a Royal Commission chaired by Justice James Woods was shown home videos and photographs from Dunn's collection, which included many images of child sex abuse, usually featuring Dunn himself as the perpetrator. He fled the country and was later found in Honduras. Former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright authorised his extradition back to Australia.
He has a long history of committing many acts against boys between the ages of seven and fifteen, often videotaping his rapes. Usually he would offer them money and marijuana in exchange for anal sex. He exclusively targeted males.
From jail he has repeatedly made written and verbal statements to the effect that he sees nothing wrong with sex between a man and a boy.
He has previously spent time in Indonesia and the Netherlands. He was a friend and accomplice of Australian diplomat William Stuart Brown, another notorious paedophile.
In 2004 he underwent coronary bypass surgery after suffering from angina. He will be eligible for parole on 9 November 2015.
