Robert-Ralph Carmichael is a Canadian artist who designed the loonie side of the Canadian one dollar coin.[1]
Robert-Ralph lives near the northern town of Echo Bay, Ontario in the scenic Sylvan Valley. The town has recently errected a large loonie statue in honour of Mr. Carmichael along the highway. The Statue has been called "the big loonie" in reference to the neighbouring town Sudbury's "Big Nickel" monument.
