Rob Gibson

Rob Gibson (born October 10, 1945, Glasgow) is a Scottish politician. A member of the Scottish National Party (SNP), he was elected to the Scottish Parliament to represent Highlands and Islands at the 2003 election.

Whilst attending the University of Dundee he headed the SNP student wing, the Federation of Student Nationalists. He was councillor in Ross and Cromarty and worked as a teacher before taking early retirement in 1995.

His partner is fellow Highlands and Islands MSP, Eleanor Scott, who represents the Scottish Green Party.
