Hmmm, I had been working on this article but from a bit of a different direction, the older roads like Main, Jefferson, Broadway and so on. This article would really seem to be more "Highways of Louisville", no? --W.marsh 04:40, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

I would think that "Highways" would be more inclined towards the expressways and interstates moreso than the unique roadways in the region. Roads is more of a generalised term, and I would like to see - in the future - unique roads in the region.
What's listed is just a start. For instance, "4th Street" could be added at a later date and its description could include whats along this major throughfare that passes by major destinations. On a more in-depth view, that is. Seicer (talk) (contribs) 04:43, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
You can see my work in progress (it hasn't really gotten anywhere yet, but at least it shows the general roads I wanted to cover) at User:W.marsh/Streets of Louisville. Some are cosigned with highways, but all pretty much predate the highway system, and many were true turnpikes at some point, or were in the old grid system of Downtown. --W.marsh 04:50, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
Those could be incorporated into the existing page. The major throughfares you have listed could fall under City controlled or it could be reorganised. This is a pilot project I was testing, and based on the information already entered for Lexington, Ashland, and now Cincinnati, it looks like something that could be built and expanded upon. Nothing's set in concrete yet :) Seicer (talk) (contribs) 04:58, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
Of course, I can see how the highways would be more interesting from a technical standpoint. I was never even really sure if my streets article would be appropriate for WP. But I just thought I should mention the idea here. --W.marsh 04:55, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
