"Road Trippin" is a song by the Red Hot Chili Peppers from their 1999 album, Californication. The single was released only in Europe. A music video was also made but never released in the U.S. until the band released their Greatest Hits album in 2003. Two different singles were released in 2000, the first in Europe, the second in the UK.
The song tells of road trip in which lead singer Anthony Kiedis, guitarist John Frusciante and bassist Flea surfed at Big Sur following John's return to the band.
"Road Trippin'" is one of the only Chili Peppers songs not to feature drums in any way, the others being "Pea" from One Hot Minute and "If" from Stadium Arcadium. As such, Chad Smith only appears very briefly in the video.
