There is also a tiny, unincorporated community named Riverview in Newaygo County.

Riverview is a city in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 13,272 at the 2000 census.

The city is a suburb in the Metro Detroit area, located along the shore of the Detroit River. It measures 11.4 km² (4.4 square miles) in area. Riverview incorporated as a village in 1922 and as a city in 1959.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 11.7 km² (4.5 mi²). 11.4 km² (4.4 mi²) of it is land and 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it (2.65%) is water.

As of the census2 of 2000, there were 13,272 people, 5,352 households, and 3,569 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,162.0/km² (3,012.6/mi²). There were 5,532 housing units at an average density of 484.3/km² (1,255.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 94.16% White, 2.08% African American, 0.43% Native American, 1.88% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.32% from other races, and 1.12% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.46% of the population.

There were 5,352 households out of which 27.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.1% were married couples living together, 10.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.3% were non-families. 29.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 15.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.38 and the average family size was 2.95.

In the city the population was spread out with 21.3% under the age of 18, 8.2% from 18 to 24, 25.7% from 25 to 44, 25.0% from 45 to 64, and 19.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females there were 87.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 82.5 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $47,623, and the median income for a family was $61,007. Males had a median income of $51,944 versus $31,295 for females. The per capita income for the city was $25,460. About 3.0% of families and 4.7% of the population were below the poverty line, including 3.4% of those under age 18 and 5.2% of those age 65 or over.
