Riverside Mall

This was an enclosed mall in Utica, New York that opened in 1973 or 1978. It was anchored by Bradlees that closed in 1998 in a wave of bankruptcy closings and Montgomery Ward. The indoor part was demalled and Montgomery Ward was demolished and part of its remains was rebuilt into Linens N Things. Lowe's Home Improvement was built. A.C. Moore, Old Navy and Tractor Supply opened in the old Bradlees. The cinema from the mall is still there and is large. BJ's Club is in the mall. Wal-mart was built at the end of the mall in 1995 (a few years before the mall died and was demalled and Wal-mart just became a Supercenter. The mall was owned by The Pyramid Companies
