River Biss
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The River Biss is a stream in Wiltshire, England. A tributary of the Avon at Staverton, the Biss is a short stream running mostly through the town of Trowbridge. Owing to its proximity to two major supermarkets and a number of factories, the river is severely polluted, with shopping trolleys and other rubbish littering most of its length, and with stretches within the town of Trowbridge highly canalised in concrete, it is not one of Wiltshire's more scenic parts.
