Ritarihuone

Ritarihuone (Finnish for "room of knights"(lit.), more specifically translated as the "House of Nobility") is a historical building in Helsinki, Finland. It has housed and is housing the Finnish House of Nobility, the historical corporation of the Finnish nobility.
The word also metonymically denotes that corporation, until 1906 one of the four estates of the realm of that country, and now a sort of hereditary association of members of registered nobility.
The building is of Neogothic style. Planned by G.T. Chiewitz. Ready in 1862. Location is Kruununhaka in downtown Helsinki. The block and its land is owned collectively by the Finnish nobility. There are the offices of the House, for example its Genealogist and chancellery, as well as archives and heraldic collections.
