The band that this article is about is notable because the lead singer is on an international television show. Because of the lead singer's worldwide fame, the band now has become popular and notable. There is also mention of this band on the Lukas Rossi article. So a link to an article about that band is logical.
This band also (or will, in the future) adhere to the guidelines set by Wikipedia which define a notable music group. The criteria Rise Electris adhere to are:
- Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise notable; note that it is often most appropriate to use redirects in place of articles on side projects, early bands and such.
- Lukas Rossi is the lead singer of the notable band Supernova. With band members being Tommy Lee of [1] Mötley Crüe, Gilby Clarke of Guns and Roses and Jason Newstead of Metallica (currently recovering from an injury) and Johnny Colt of Black Crowes and Train. Lukas Rossi is also a former member of the band, Cleavage, which won the 2000 NXNE Music Festival in Toronto's 'Best Canadian Unsigned band award.
- The Bassist for Rise Electric is Dominic Cifarelli, notably a member of Pulse Ultra and The Chronicles of Israfel.
- Has won or placed in a major music competition.
- Does Rock Star: Supernova count?
Rise Electric may (and it is very probable) adhere to the following two rules/guidelines, but there is no source that verifies this.
- Has been placed in rotation nationally by any major radio network.
- Has been the subject of a half hour or longer broadcast on a national radio network.
