Risley, Warrington

Risley is a neighbourhood in the northeast corner of Warrington.

It is south of Culcheth and is bordered to its north by the M62 motorway. During the Second World War it was the location of a Royal Ordnance Factory. After the war it became the site of the design offices for the United Kingdom's fledgling nuclear weapons and nuclear power programmes.
