Rishton

Rishton is a small town in the Hyndburn district of Lancashire, England, about 2 miles west of Clayton-le-Moors and 4 miles east of Blackburn. It constituted an urban district from 1894 to 1974. Rishton was the first place that the cloth calico was woven on an industrial scale. Its name means farm among the rushes.
