Ripper Roo is a fictional character in the Crash Bandicoot video game series.

[edit] Overview

He's a psychotic, blue kangaroo with a blonde wig and a fake moustache (only in Crash Bandicoot 2 and Crash Bash), a straitjacket, and razor-sharp toenails.

He was the first of Cortex's many Evolvo-Ray subjects, and also his least successful. One or two zaps from the Evolvo-Ray too many has caused this creature to become erratic, violent, and not-all-there. He mostly just hops around laying TNT and Nitro Boxes for Crash to step on. After he was quickly defeated in the first game, Doctor Nitrus Brio gave him another chance in Crash 2.

Ripper Roo appeared briefly in Crash Team Racing as the first boss and an unlockable character, a trap layer in Crash Bash, and at Crash's "birthday party" in Crash Twinsanity.

His distinctive laugh is a sound clip of the Hyena's laughter in The Lion King. This sound clip is also used in the film Elf and the cartoon Catscratch.

As stated in the epilogue of the first game if 100% completion is attained, Ripper Roo attended college for eight years. This is the only epilogue of either Crash Bandicoot or Crash Team Racing to be partly true.

In Crash Bandicoot 2, he seems to have studied quite a bit, and teams up with N. Brio who wishes only to stop Cortex, but ends up having one of his own TNTs explode in his face and he turns back into his old self again.

The epilouge of Crash Team Racing says Ripper Roo became a state governor to everyone's surprise, but this is considered non-canon.

[edit] Weapons

Ripper Roo usually hops around laying TNT and nitro crates. Crash Bandicoot's manual warns the player of Ripper Roo's razor sharp toenails.
