Ripley is a village in Brown County, Illinois, along La Moine River. The population was 103 according to the year 2000 census.

Ripley is located at 40°1′26″N, 90°38′20″W (40.023771, -90.638887)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.0 km² (0.4 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 103 people, 43 households, and 31 families residing in the village. The population density was 104.7/km² (274.0/mi²). There were 50 housing units at an average density of 50.8/km² (133.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 100.00% White.

There were 43 households out of which 20.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.5% were married couples living together, 2.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.9% were non-families. 23.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.40 and the average family size was 2.77.

In the village the population was spread out with 16.5% under the age of 18, 8.7% from 18 to 24, 27.2% from 25 to 44, 26.2% from 45 to 64, and 21.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 44 years. For every 100 females there were 128.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 120.5 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $31,250, and the median income for a family was $39,375. Males had a median income of $26,250 versus $20,417 for females. The per capita income for the village was $12,210. There were 11.4% of families and 7.9% of the population living below the poverty line, including 3.6% of under eighteens and none of those over 64.
