Ripatransone is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ascoli Piceno in the Italian region Marche, located about 70 km southeast of Ancona and about 20 km northeast of Ascoli Piceno. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,335 and an area of 74.2 km2.[1]
The municipality of Ripatransone contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Petrella, San Savino, Val Tesino, and Trivio.
Ripatransone borders the following municipalities: Acquaviva Picena, Carassai, Cossignano, Cupra Marittima, Grottammare, Massignano, Montefiore dell'Aso, Offida.
