Riolo Terme is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ravenna in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 40 km southeast of Bologna and about 40 km southwest of Ravenna. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 5,441 and an area of 44.5 km2.[1]
The municipality of Riolo Terme contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Borgo Rivola, Cuffiano, Isola, Mazzolano, and Torranello.
Riolo Terme borders the following municipalities: Borgo Tossignano, Brisighella, Casola Valsenio, Castel Bolognese, Faenza, Imola.
