Rio Branco Atlético Clube

Rio Branco Atlético Clube, usually known simply as Rio Branco, is a Brazilian football (soccer) club based in the city of Cariacica in the Espírito Santo state of Brazil.

On June 15, 1913, a group of boys, which included Antônio Miguez, José Batista Pavão, Edmundo Martins, Nestor Ferreira Lima, Gervásio Pimentel, and Cleto Santos decided to found a football club, because they were not allowed to play in the existing ones.

On June 21, 1913, at Ilha dos Amores, in Parque Moscoso neighborhood, in Vitória, they founded the club. The club was named Juventude e Vigor, and the official colors were green and yellow.

On February 10, 1914, the club was renamed to Rio Branco Football Club, after the Baron of Rio Branco.

On May 20, 1917, the club's colors were changed to black and white.

In 1919, the club won its first title, the Campeonato da Cidade de Vitória (Vitória City Championship).

In 1930, the club won its first state championship.

From 1934 to 1939 the club won six state championships in a row.

On March 18, 1941, the club was renamed to its current name, Rio Branco Atlético Clube.

In 1985, Rio Branco won its last state championship.

They currently play in their home stadium, the Estádio Kléber Andrade, which has a maximum capacity of 45,000 people.

The club's official colors are black and white. Rio Branco's home kit is composed of a black and white vertical stripes shirts, white shorts and white socks.
