Rileyasuchus bristolensis Howard, 1888 |
Rileyasuchus (meaning "Riley’s crocodile") is the name given to a genus of dinosaur from the Late Triassic. It was a primitive dinosaur, possibly related to Herrerasaurus, which lived in Europe. The type species, Rileyasuchus bristolensis, was first described by Howard, 1888, at that time being called Rileya. This name was already preoccupied, and the dinosaur has since been renamed Rileyasuchus.
