Some minor renovations have been made to the neighbourhood, however, it is still heavily gentrified and is not one of the most appealing parts of the city.

However, today the area is somewhat stable but is nowhere near the crime wave that hit the area in the late 80’s and early 90’s where the neighbourhood was notorious for gun violence and drug trafficking.
