Riddler's Daughter

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Riddler's Daughter is the name of two DC Comics superheroes. The first was an identity used by Duela Dent, but now someone else is using the identity for themselves.

[edit] Pre-Crisis, Riddler's Daughter I

The first mention of the Riddler's Daughter was during the 1970s. Duela Dent, who would go on to become a Teen Titan and use the name Harlequin, used five different daughter disguises to get the attention of Robin, the Boy Wonder. She attempted to rob a Chinese Restaurant dressed up like a female Riddler, and used question mark-shaped guns that fired rubber bullets. This ruse was discovered when Robin unmasked her. She hasn't dressed up as the Riddler's Daughter since.

[edit] Post-Crisis/One Year Later, Riddler's Daughter II

A second Riddler's Daughter was mentioned as being a member of the Teen Titans during the Lost Year Gap. In a scrapbook left behind by titan Raven, a pictured showed Duela Dent next to the new Riddler's Daughter. This proves that they are now separate characters. Her background has yet to be explained.

A solicit for Teen Titans #43 refers to her as Enigma.
