A closeup of the top step - just below the foundation floor level - which at one time led the traveler to lodging at the Tumble Inn. The lettering in the cement is worn to the point where the indentation is fairly light - especially so at the right part of the step. This step was found with about a cubic foot of earth malevolently placed on its right portion, and an effort was made to clear the step to obtain the best possible picture. All letters were discernable to the photographer, however. Photo from private collection of avnative.
