California "dry season" golden hills are prominent in this 2004 view. Looking to the north. Obtaining the same camera view as the previous historical photo at the Liebre Summit historical marker site - which is where this photograph was taken - proved difficult. The Ridge Route is visible to the right of the photo for a good stretch in the distance, however. Photo from private collection of avnative.
