Richard Walter is one of the creators of modern criminal profiling and a co-founder of the Vidocq Society.

Danny Devito's production company has optioned a movie about Richard and the Vidocq Society http://www.usatoday.com/careers/dream/2001-march-forensic-movie.htm Best-selling author Mike Capuzzo was given a multi-million dollar advance to write about Richard and the Vidocq Society "In the Arms of Angels": http://www.publishersweekly.com/article/CA256951.html?pubdate=11%2F4%2F2002&display=archive

As a result, his inclusion as an important and significant person is unquestioned.

[edit] copyvios

To the author of this and Vidocq society: Considering your interest in criminal law, you show a surprising lack of knowledge of and respect for one aspect of civil law, namely copyright. I note the claim in Talk:Vidocq society about holding rights. However:

  • I am not sure whether all your slabs of copy-and-paste were from your own sites.
  • it is no use giving the copyright release here, we have no proof - you must make the release on the websites you are copying - see the instructions in template:nothanks.
  • We do not need most of these copies - link to them in their original locations instead. Certainly we do not need news stories - summarise and interpret them here.

Also please stick to wiki markup and stop putting <br /> after every paragraph. -- RHaworth 09:35, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
