I just read the external link. Interesting read.
So, who is this J. Montgomery Burns fellow? Azure Haights 21:23, Nov 3, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Uncle Moneybags
I always thought he was called Uncle Moneybags but maybe this is because Australia does not have Pennies nor use it as an alternative to cents.
No, it's not just an Australian thing. I'll accept that "Rich Uncle Pennybags" may have been this character's "official" name, but throughout my life, I've only heard him referred to as either "Mr. Moneybags" or "Mr. Monopoly." The latter nickname is especially prevalent in popular culture; when Jon Lovitz played the character in a 1986 SNL sketch, for example, he was referred to as "Mr. Monopoly," not "Rich Uncle Pennybags."
- For the sake of showcasing the opposite experience, I'll just chime in here and say that the only thing I ever heard was "Rich Uncle Pennybags" (or just "Uncle Pennybags"), until they changed the official name. Kairos 20:32, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

Anyone want to go out of their way and get his iconic picture?--Exander 07:06, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Article title
Redirecting this article is a bad idea, especially using "Mr Monopoly": 1) Rich Uncle Pennybags is the historical name of the character 2) Americans always use Mr. with a period (full stop), so Mr Monopoly is flat-out wrong 3) No redirects had been fixed. --JohnDBuell 15:39, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
- The move was done with copies and pastes anyway, which is not proper - talk pages and history didn't move. I had to undo it the same way. --JohnDBuell 15:41, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
