Ricoh GR Digital
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The GR Digital is a prosumer, fixed-lens (no zoom) digital camera made by Ricoh. It was first announced at Photokina 2004. It went on sale in Japan on 21 October 2005 at the price of ¥80,000. It was the first digital version follow-up to the popular 35mm GR-Series produced by Ricoh.
The main selling points of the GR Digital are the compact body, full manual controls, 28mm GR lens, and its excellent image quality. Some criticisms of the camera are its expensive (about 550 €) price, its slow processing rate (up to 12 seconds between RAW shots), and its lack of a standard viewfinder (an optional but expensive viewfinder may be bought separately).
