Ricochet, published by Superior Software in 1987, is an adventure game for the BBC Micro and the Acorn Electron featuring elements of both platform and puzzle games. It was written by Neil Davidson and David Williams, with some graphics done by Nik Weston and Guy Burt. The object of the game was to retrieve five hourglasses from diverse scenarios to restore the flow of time. The puzzles were mostly logical (keys unlock doors, gold placates a burglar), though there were exceptions.
The player controlled a creature named "SPRAT" (Small Partially Robotic Alien Time-traveller), depicted as a red sphere wearing sunglasses. SPRAT could only roll along the ground, or down slopes, but was capable of bouncing at either a 45 or 90 degree angle.
Ricochet is also one of the series of games remade and re-released by Superior Software in an updated form, with new graphics and added levels.
