Rick Folbaum

Rick Folbaum is the co-anchor of WNYW's weeknight 6pm newscast. Previously Folbaum was an anchor and correspondent for the Fox News Channel.

Folbaum was born on August 5, 1969, and grew up in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, graduating from Cherry Hill High School West in 1987. Rick acted in numerous high school plays and musicals, and in his senior year, he played the role of "Danny" in the high school's production of the musical "Grease". He has a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism from the Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

Folbaum was with the Fox News Channel since its 1996 inception. From 1998-2000, he was FNC's London-based correspondent covering news events all over Europe and the Middle East.

Prior to joining Fox, Folbaum worked as a writer for MSNBC. He also worked in radio at WOR AM in New York City.

Folbaum also served as the substitute anchor for Studio B with Shepard Smith and the Fox Report along with being an anchor for Fox News Live and as the weekend anchor of the Fox Report.

Folbaum and his wife, Kelcey, live in New York City.

He has currently been Co-Anchoring Good Day NY alongside Jodi Applegate, and has not been co-anchoring the 6pm broadcast with Dari Alexander. There is no news of him switching to Good Day and leaving the 6pm slot.
