Rick Bolannos is a teacher and Vietnam Veteran from Texas. In 2006, he unsuccessfully ran for Congress in the Texas Twenty-third District as a Democrat. Rick and three of his brothers served in Vietnam at the same time. His family was cited in a letter to his parents from President LBJ for their patriotism. Three of the brothers were in actual combat during the war. He appeared in the Discovery Channel's "Taking the Hill."
