Richland Springs is a town in San Saba County, Texas, United States. The population was 350 at the 2000 census.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 350 people, 147 households, and 99 families residing in the town. The population density was 135.1/km² (348.6/mi²). There were 182 housing units at an average density of 70.3/km² (181.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 96.00% White, 0.29% African American, 0.86% Native American, 1.71% from other races, and 1.14% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 14.29% of the population.
There were 147 households out of which 32.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.1% were married couples living together, 8.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.0% were non-families. 31.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 19.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.38 and the average family size was 2.94.
In the town the population was spread out with 27.1% under the age of 18, 6.6% from 18 to 24, 23.4% from 25 to 44, 20.6% from 45 to 64, and 22.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 107.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.7 males.
The median income for a household in the town was $28,750, and the median income for a family was $40,357. Males had a median income of $26,875 versus $18,750 for females. The per capita income for the town was $15,691. About 9.1% of families and 14.0% of the population were below the poverty line, including 27.3% of those under age 18 and 4.7% of those age 65 or over.
