Richibucto, New Brunswick

Richibucto is a town in eastern New Brunswick, Canada, located where the Richibucto River empties into the Northumberland Strait. As of 2001 the population was 1,341; of which 74% are francophone and 26% are anglophone.

The town takes its name from the river, a Mi'kmaq term for "river of fire."

The economy is dominated by deep sea fishing.
