Richard Twiss, a member of the Rosebud Lakota/SiouxTribe. He is the Co-Founder and President of Wiconi (wee-choe'-nee / Lakota/Sioux - "life") International. Twiss is committed to seeing Native people emerge into a powerful place of ministry in reconciliation and healing within the Body of Christ around the world.
His vision is, To serve the Church as a bridge builder and consulting resource to see Native people come to faith and life in Jesus Christ and fulfill their God-given place in the Body of Christ. - Richard Twiss

In 1972, Rev. Twiss was a participant in the forced occupation of the Bureau of Indian Affairs Building, in Washington, D.C., with the radical political group, the American Indian Movement or "AIM." He has a unique view of some of the internal cultural, social and spiritual struggles of Native American people today. Richard and his wife of 27 years, Katherine, have four sons, and they currently live in Vancouver, Washington.
