Richard Tambling (born September 12, 1986) is an Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League.
[edit] Football career
In the 2004 AFL Draft Tambling was a first round selection at no.4 overall (to the Richmond Football Club). He had long been considered a dominant player up in the Northern Territory with his explosive speed and he only confirmed that status throughout the 2004 pre-season. Unfortunately he only played in 12 games in the 2005 AFL season. In the latter stages of the year, Tambling struggled with injury (including a broken toe and a consistently weak hamstring). Although Tambling has shown that he has the talent and speed to become a household name, bad luck continues to cloud his horizons. If Tambling persists with weight training and such he can reaffirm his place in the Richmond top 22 in a year. He has a young son Tyler.
At time of writing Richard Tambling's guernsey number is 30, he is 181 cm tall and weighs 74 KG.
