Richard Swift is a singer, pianist and guitarist from Orange County, California. He started by experimenting with a fourtrack recorder, before honing his skills as keyboardist in the band, Starflyer 59 and in his own ambient-electronic outfit, Instruments of Science and Technology. Swift and his live band, the Sons of National Freedom, have earned a cult following through frequent touring in the US and Europe, including a performance at the 2006 South by Southwest festival.
