Richard James Michael Stearman (born August 19, 1987 in Wolverhampton, England) is a professional footballer currently playing for Leicester City.

Stearman, who is equally adept at playing at right-back or centre-back, is seen as having a bright future by many at Leicester. He signed his first professional contract in 2004, keeping him at the club until 2007.

He has become a regular in the first team squad at City despite his youth. He has also represented England at Under-17 and Under-18 level.

Stearman joined the Foxes youth academy in 1998 having been spotted playing for Harborough.

He scored his first senior goal for Leicester in a 3-1 home victory over championship side Millwall in April 2005, and has also featured in the 3-2 fa cup 3rd round victory against Spurs. A week later Richard scored his first goal of 2006 with an over head kick against Sheffield Wednesday.
