Richard John Oakes (born 1 October 1976, in Perivale, Middlesex) is an English musician. He was formerly the guitarist in the band Suede, replacing Bernard Butler at the tender age of seventeen.
He managed to outstay the original guitarist by the time of the group's split in 2003.
