Richard Lumley, 12th Earl of Scarbrough

Richard Aldred Lumley, 12th Earl of Scarbrough was born on 5 December 1932.

He was the son of Sir Lawrence Roger Lumley, 11th Earl of Scarbrough. He died on 23 March 2004 at age 71 in Sandbeck.

Lumley was Lord Lieutenant of South Yorkshire from 1996 until 2004.

His son Richard Osbert Lumley (b. 18 May 1973) is the 13th Earl of Scarbrough.

He succeeded to the Earldom of Scarbrough in 1969 following the death of his father.
