Richard Johnston (judge)

The Honourable Mr. Justice Richard Johnston (October 1937- is the Presdient of the Irish High Court since his appointment by President Mary McAleese in November 2006.

He was born in Tralee, Kerry and went to UCD where he studied law. He qualified as a barrister at the King's Inns in 1960. He was appointmented to the High Court in 1987.
