Richard Jackson (born April 18, 1980 in Whitby, North Yorkshire, England) is an English footballer who has played for two English clubs. He currently plays for Derby County in Football League Championship.

Richard Jackson began his career in Scarborough and made his first appearance for the club in a league game on November 1, 1997 against Doncaster Rovers. In March 1998 he signed his first professional contract at Scarborough, but a year later he moved to Derby County. His first game for Derby came against Newcastle United on May 6, 2000.
In January 2006 Jackson put pen to paper on a deal that will make him a player at Derby until the end of the 2007/08 season.
