Richard Hinds (born 22 August 1980 in Sheffield) is a defender who plays club football at Scunthorpe United. [1]
Richard started his career at Tranmere Rovers starting to learn the arts of defence in Tranmere's successful academy. He was promoted to the senior squad and there made a name for himself as a consistent and reliable performer. 51 appearances later and he was off up the career ladder and performing at Hull City in their troubled times in League Two, he achieved promotion to League One and in all made 48 appearances but scored only the once. Now 26, Hinds has adapted at Scunthorpe United following a loan spell and was signed on a Bosman transfer only two months in his spell.
He has a future at Glanford Park ahead of him under the leadership of Brian Laws.
